As a Soccer Resilience Ambassador, Cari shares the experiences and mental tools that helped her navigate challenges and perform at the highest levels of the game.
Cari Roccaro built an inspiring professional career that combined athletic excellence with advocacy for mental health. Raised in East Islip, New York, Cari developed her skills with the Long Island Fury and New York Fury before representing the United States and helping the U-20 Women’s National Team win the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Following a standout collegiate career at Notre Dame, Cari played professionally for the Houston Dash, North Carolina Courage, Angel City FC, and Chicago Red Stars. Her career included two NWSL Championships and firsthand experience navigating the mental demands of elite soccer.
As a Soccer Resilience Ambassador, Cari is passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding mental health in sports. Through her story, she encourages players to develop the mental tools needed to navigate adversity and thrive both on and off the field.
